I'm not your whipping post

I refuse to take your blame.

Don't tell me to do your will

I am no puppet on a string.

Spare me your thunder.

Save me from your wrath.

If I free my mind

Will the rest follow?

Free me from your power.

Free me from your control.

Treat me like an equal

Or let me go.

I am not a burden to weigh you down.

I am not a problem you need to solve.

I am not an appliance you turn on and off.

I am a person just as human as you.
